Meet The Candidate
I am running for San Benito County Board of Supervisors because I believe in giving back to the community that has given so much to my family. I bring decades of experience as a small business owner, community volunteer, board member, and advocate for agriculture and education.
Rodney Bianchi is a lifelong San Benito County resident, longtime local business owner, and dedicated community volunteer.
Small Business Owner for more than 35 years: Bianchi Hay Squeeze and Trucking, building a career in agriculture and transportation.
Family is at the center of Rodney’s life: wife, Kelly, has dedicated 34 years to education, including 23 years teaching at Hollister High School. Together, Rodney and Kelly raised their two children, John and Abby, in San Benito County. Their family’s roots run deep, and with the arrival of their future grandchild, the Bianchi family will proudly become a fifth-generation San Benito County family.
Service has always been an important part of Rodney’s life:
· San Benito County Farm Bureau Board (since 1994)
· Elks Lodge 1436 (since 2001)
· Hollister Ag Boosters (since 2003)
· Spring Grove School Board from (2010 to 2014)
· San Benito County Planning Commissioner (2022 to 2023)
· San Benito County Office of Education Board, Chair (since 2024)
Through my years of public and community service, I have worked alongside local families, farmers, educators, business owners, and community leaders, giving me a firsthand understanding of the people and priorities that make San Benito County unique.
My commitment to the community also extends to volunteer service:
· San Benito County Fair and Santa Cruz County Fair (since 1990)
· Monterey County Fair and Santa Clara County Fair (since 2000)
· San Benito County Livestock Committee (30 years)
For me, public service is not about a title – it is about continuing a lifetime of commitment to the community I call home.
